Summer Stampede

Today we had a lovely time at the Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey Facebook group Summer Stampede. As your photographer of the month I made sure I was prepared with camera and spare batteries.

When we arrived I had a look round – there was lots of shade, a raffle, a dachshund lucky dip

and – oh the delight! – a paddling pool for hot or water-loving dachshunds! I made sure I did a quality control inspection immediately, it passed with flying colours.

Lots of people came along – it was so good to meet up with friends and make some new ones.

Our very handsome friend Colin

There was lots of space for anyone who wanted to stretch their legs – our pals Briar and Bramble were having great fun

Hayley did a brilliant job calling the raffle – there were lots of fabulous prizes donated by members and supporters.

We hadn’t entered the show, but 50 other people had, and they were all gorgeous.

Mum had been asked to judge Best in Show – what an amazing privilege. She found it so hard to choose from all these gorgeous winners,

but chose Teddy who was delighted with his win.

If she ever has to do it again we reckon she will be sneakily buying extra rosettes to give to all the others as it is so hard to choose and everyone was equally gorgeous.

We had a wonderful time, thank you so much to Admins Nikki, Liz, Stuart and Hayley for organising a fabulous event which raised the superb sum of £745 for the Red Foundation which helps dachshunds in need of rehoming.
