A review by Millie
Our local newsagent has branched out to provide artisan teas and coffees, as well as light bites. I went along to check it out today, and was delighted by the welcome I received. We dogs are allowed inside, though there is also a small outside seating area, which is going to be popular in summer. There is a wide selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and yummy cakes on offer, as well as sandwiches and soup, which is welcome on days like today…. cold and wet.
Gurnard Press stocks a wide range of newspapers, confectionary and cards, like most newsagents. They also have a wide selection of cards and gifts made by local artists, so it is a good place to get high quality Isle of Wight souvenirs. There is ample parking along the road and it is a short walk down to the sea.
Dog water bowls are available and all 4 legged clients are offered dog biscuits. I was given 2, as I was such a well behaved young lady!
I can highly recommend the Gurnard Press as a pleasant place for a cup of coffee, where all are made very welcome.
